Disclosure Policy for Course and Product Reviews

The Federal Trade Commission requires that we disclose any relationship we have between a service providers and product makers when we write about a course or item.

Here are the rules we play by at We Golf South Florida.

  • We are not paid by the courses to write reviews. We will not accept money to review a golf course and do not specifically review golf courses in order to receive payments directly from the courses. We will review a course if requested by course management, but will not accept payment for performing the review.

  • We will not pay for every round of golf. Reviewing golf courses can get expensive. Many times we pay out of our own pockets to play. However, in instances where management requests us to review a course, they will allow us to play for no cost. We will accept the free round with the understanding that they have no control over our review process and that we will perform the same objective review under the same set of standards that we

  • If you click a link in a review to book a round of golf or buy an item and it delivers you to a website (e.g. Golfnow.com, etc.), we get a small commission from that website should you book a round of golf or buy an item. We do not receive referral commissions directly from the golf courses that we review, but rather through affiliations with discount booking sites that offer good deals on tee times. We believe that we are providing a valuable service to you by recommending discounted booking options on our reviews while the commissions we receive help defray the costs of developing our content and maintaining this website.

We believe it is important for you as a reader to understand the relationship between We Golf South Florida, the courses we review, and other affiliates of the site. If you don't see a disclosure policy as part of a review of a product, that reviewer may be violating the law or at the very least the Code of Ethics.
